Yep, the year 2000: notable for the world not collapsing into chaos with the Millennium Bug when the computer clocks changed from 23:59 on 31 December 1999.

It was also notable for the fact that BBC TV used to have a digital channel called BBC Knowledge. It was replaced by BBC 3 some time afterwards. The good people at Knowledge ran a great interactive website that tied in to a programme called Frontroom , hosted by Jason Bradbury - brother of Julia and co-host of FIVE's The Gadget Show.

 

I wrote a small fiction piece as part of an online novel: it was chosen as the next chapter and I was invited to appear on a fiction special edition of Front Room. So off to Pebble Mill Studios I trotted (well, drove, anyway).
